Certificate of matrimonial responsibility (certificate of the absence of obstacles to marriage). Issued by the authorized bodies of the Civil Registry Office of the Republic of Moldova.
Usually required to marry a foreigner. Most often requested for marriage of Moldovan citizens with Germans (German citizens). Often confused with a certificate of civil status (certificate of civil status).
Matrimonial – relating to matrimony. Related to marriage. And also nuptial.
Matrimonium – marriage, matrimony.
